VJ Bio
:[dgraph]: (a.k.a Dustin Raphael), has been performing at premiere festivals and clubs up and down the West Coast Dance Music scene. Adding his unique style to live visuals, interactive installations, software development and stage design.

With a MFA in Digital Art and New Media Dustin has a wide range of skills to draw from. Doing everything from creative coding, digital motion graphics and electronics to rigging, sound engineering and working as a projectionist. His main interest is in the use of multimedia to create new immersive experiences for audiences and participants. Dustin started playing instruments and making music 15 years ago and has since become focused on the connection between audio and visual senses both in performance and interactive setups. He can be found mixing visuals at Raindance Presents, Nexus and Dax Presents music events or installing interactive artworks at the Santa Cruz Museum or Art and History, Zero One and the Gray Area Foundation for the Arts. He recently released some software to aid in network video for Vj's and interactive artists.

Visuals by dgraph are a combination of visual fx, minimalism and abstraction performed in real time to the music. Most of his work starts with the use of simple shapes or ideas which evolve in complexity as the event progresses. His interest is in the relationships which emerge between form, space, time and color. These relationships can help us understand balance, patterns and thought in new ways.
